Despite the general outrage invoked by the recent police murder of George Floyd, Black Lives Matter Bloomington found a way to gather their community together in joy. From the stage at Juneteenth Celebration in Reverend Butler Park BLMB Core Council Members moved forward with their platform for racial justice by calling for action from Bloomington's elected officials to participate in an anti-racist training and the continued dismantling of Bloomington Police, including the removal of the Bearcat, among others. #MAM with the help of other makers, was able to provide nearly a gross of masks and helped hand them out to insure proper COVID-19 protocols were followed.
Below is a photo documentary highlighting the joy of the day by Bloom Magazine.
